I love true crime podcasts and after searching for another series to subscribe to I was shocked to find out about a missing persons case in my home state of Arkansas. I know there is crime everywhere but it is still shocking when you hear it happened in one of the small towns where you live and grew up. Upon listening I got a sense of the reporter and that she is determined to investigate and report her findings of this case. A big part of what I wish was in this podcast was emotion. I feel the report is only reporting because it’s her job and this is how she was trained in school. However I wish she would put her personal touch to this podcast.Īs far as the reporting I believe she did a good job at reporting the details.

I do wish she would have reached out to “cassie’s” close friends, previous neighbors, past boyfriends (mom and daughter), passerby’s (gas station clerk), hunter the friend whom she went to the derby with. The police officer that was interviewed didn’t really seem interested in answering questions. I got the feeling that he just took Cassie as a typical teen runaway and maybe she will come back and now that so much time has past I feel the officer just swept it under the rug.Īs for the mother I believe she knows exactly what happened and don’t believe for one second she was in bed sick all night. I believe she found that her boyfriend had done something to Cassie and tried to cover it up. In my opinion, and it’s only speculation. I believe the boyfriend got upset with Cassie for some reason or another and wanted to show her a lesson, maybe discipline, threaten, control, and Cassie wasn’t having any of it. Cassie Compton is an actress, known for The Sculptress, Call the Midwife (2012) and Mr Selfridge (2013). Maybe he hit her skittle to hard and then couldn’t stop afterwards. People soon started to speculate that the girl in the video was Cassie Compton, who went missing aged 15 in 2014 shortly after returning home from a demolition derby with a family friend. Cassie may have ran out of the house and then the boyfriend ran after her. I just feel like more could have been done about this girl. The poor girl didn’t stand a chance by being raised by her mother. Cassie Compton was a teenage girl who went missing from her home in Stuttgart, Arkansas, and never returned. I don’t understand how child services didn’t take the child from the mother. She was 15 at the time of her disappearance. Cassie Compton Stock Photos and Images (44) of 1.
